Box Office Clash Between Bollywood Movies on Festival Weekends.

On 14th August 2025. It's Bollywood Vs South once again, clashing at the box office with an action thriller War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead, and on the other hand,  is the " God of Bollywood" Rajnikant.  It's their first time collaborating with renowned director Lokesh Kanagaraj, but this is not the first time that such a big box office clash has happened on the other This is also true for both these movies have a huge fan base supporting their movie. So, Iconic clashes have happened many times before at the box office, so here is the box office clash between Bollywood movies on festival weekends .

  1, Sholay Vs Jai Santoshi Maa - Today, youth may not even know that the Bollywood movie Sholay also had to face a clash from a small-budget movie, Jai Santoshi Maa. Both these movies were released on 15th August 1975, and the beauty of this clash was that both the movies worked at the box office despite a Clash. Sholay was made with a budget of 2 Crores and made a lifetime collection of 24 Crores, exactly opposite to Jai Santoshi Maa was a movie made with a small budget of 30 Lakhs and collected 10 Crores at the box office, and both the movies were declared "Blockbuster"  at the box office.

2 Dil Vs Ghayal - Many of us did not even know before Gadar Vs Lagaan. Sunny Deol and Amir Khan in 1990 with their movies Ghayal and Dil 1990,  as both movies were released on 22nd June 1990,   and both movies received a thundering response from the audience, as both movies received a roaring response at the box office, as Ghayal was a typical action drama movie; on the flipside, Dil was a rom-com drama movie with rib tickling comedy by Amir Khan and Anupam Kher. Both these movies made a box office of 20 Crores against their budget of 2 Crores and 2.5 Crores, respectively

3 Lagaan Vs Gadar - 11 Years after Dil and Ghayal, two superstars, Amir Khan and Sunny Deol, clash once again with their movies Gadar and Lagaan, as both these movies were released on 15 January 2001 and belong to completely different genres, and both the movies created movies created a thunderstorm at the box office audience welcomed both the movies with open arms in which Gadar collected 102 Crores at the box office on the Lagaan may had less numbers at the box office but it later becomes India's official entry in Oscars,  


Republic Day 2017 clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s massy Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s emotional thriller Kaabil, both declared Super Hits
4 Raees Vs Kaabil - On the occasion of Republic Day in 2017. Probably the most memorable Clash in the history of Bollywood happened. As both movies were released on the 25th  January 2017 and had two of the Biggest Bollywood stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. As Raees was a mass entertainer, on the other hand, Kaabil was a suspense thriller, as it collected 208 Crores at the box office and was declared a "Super Hit", and Raees was also successful in getting a "Super Hit" tag by collecting 208 Crores against the budget of 70 Crores.

5 Don Vs Jaaneman - On Diwali 2006. There was a clash between two of the biggest stars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who released their movies Don and Jaanemann on 20th October 2006, which marks Diwali, but it was Don was a successful venture by collecting 106 Crores against its budget of 38 Crores; on the other hand, Jaanemann was proved to be a flop so in this romance was defeated by action. Or we can also Salman Khan was defeated by Shah Rukh Khan. If we look closely, SRK has an 'awesome" record when it comes to box office  clashes
